Advent is the season of preparation and electric anticipation.
It’s that precise feeling when you know someone truly important is about to arrive—a mix of excitement and necessary readiness. We hold this tension as we look to Christ:
We celebrate His past arrival at Bethlehem.
We await His final return in glory.
We anticipate His present arrival among us now—especially as we gather for worship, where Christ comes through the Word and the Sacraments.
Join us as we focus on the immediacy of Christ’s coming. This worship series prepares us to meet the Lord in the moments He draws near:
Watch the most recent messages at Ascension.
The messages at Ascension begin with a part of the Bible and explain and apply that content to our lives. Though the Bible is a big book, all of God’s testimony to people centers on the person and work of his Son, Jesus Christ. Ascension’s messages reflect this Christ-centered focus.
That’s a great question! There are a few reasons the pastor will commonly wear a robe, but the primary purpose is to mask the man and focus the listeners on God. There are many churches today where the pastor does not use a robe - that’s totally fine, and sometimes Pastor Ben just prefers a suit too. 😊
We sure do! Ascension on Air is our church’s official podcast. You can stream it on most major platforms, including its home on Spotify.
