  • Who’s this event for?

    The Resilience Project is intended to benefit the communities surrounding Ascension. If you’re in the greater Harrisburg area, this event is certainly for you.

  • Is this professional mental health counseling?

    This event is not a substitute for professional mental health counseling. Rather, it’s a workshop intended to teach practical skills to build resilience in the face of difficulties. The content has been developed by mental health professionals from Christian Family Solutions.

  • The event is at a church. Is it religious?

    The Resilience Project aims at building practical skills applicable to all people, regardless of religious background or convictions. The workshop draws on some Christian principals to accomplish this and points to Christ as the ultimate answer, but the practical skills remain the primary focus. This event is time well spent for anyone who wishes to improve their resiliency in the face of this life’s inevitable challenges.

  • Are there refreshments provided?

    Refreshments, including a lunch, will be provided for all registered attendees. There is no cost for the event or the refreshments and lunch.

  • Why is this event being offered for free? What’s the catch?

    There really is no catch. The people of Ascension are committed to serving our community with Christ. The Resilience Project is one way to meet practical needs with a foundation built on God’s grace in Christ.

  • Where do I park?

    The event will take place in the lower level of Ascension. Please proceed to the lower lot and enter through the glass door.
